Chinthaka
Jayakody
A visceral sonic journey through the underworld of 1970s Gampaha. Jayakody blends traditional Sri Lankan percussion with haunting orchestral motifs, creating a tension that mirrors the film's high-stakes narrative.

Parasathu Yaya
Featuring Chamara Weerasinghe
The emotional anchor of the film. A haunting ballad that captures the bittersweet nostalgia of a city changing under the shadow of power. Weerasinghe's vocal performance is both vulnerable and commanding.
“I wanted the song to feel like a ghost wandering through the alleys I grew up in. It's a eulogy for a time that was both beautiful and brutal.”
— Chamara Weerasinghe

The Sound of the 70s
The sonic identity of “Father” is deeply rooted in the gritty realism of 1970s South Asian cinema. We drew inspiration from the pioneering work of masters who blended local folklore with Western experimentalism.
Analog Warmth
The entire score was recorded through vintage 70s pre-amps to achieve that thick, saturated tape sound that digital can't replicate.
Urban Grit
Ambient field recordings from the actual streets of Gampaha were layered into the percussion to ground the music in the film's location.
